We now know the winners of this year's Red Dot Design awards in the "Product Design" category. Spain received 16 awards, for 13 Spanish companies and eight Spanish designers.
Two Spanish companies have won two awards in lighting: Faro Barcelona for the MAYA table lamp and wall lamp and for the TOTEM beacon, designed by Roger Vancells, and Arkoslight for the LOOP pendant luminaire and the BLACK FOSTER downlight created by Ruben Saldaña. In addition, the Carandini brand received another award for the T-XTREME luminaire specially designed to adapt to all types of tunnels, and the Fontini firm was awarded for its DOM wiring devices designed by Lúcid Design.
In the furniture sector, Andreu World won an award for the elegant and ergonomic CALMA operating chair designed by Benjamin Hubert. Enea was also awarded for their chair inspired by forms found in nature, MATE C, designed by the Manel Molina studio.
As for bathrooms, the firm Roca won two awards for the original NU faucet designed by Inma Bermúdez and the IN-WASH ONA intelligent toilet created by Nacar Design. Acquabella's NATUR WAVE shower tray was also awarded.
Other award-winning companies include: Reunión Industrial for the CLAMP adjustable table leg, designed by Nacho Timón; Finsa, for the FINFLOOR floor laminate from the VERA collection; the company Unno Bikes, for the electric bicycle MITH, created by Cero Design; the company Seastainable Ventures, for LIFE BOOSTING SYSTEM, a modular structure for marine regeneration designed by Lúcid Design; and the TRAMLINK BERNMOBIL streetcar by Stadler Rail Valencia.
The Red Dot Awards are given annually by the prestigious German design organization "Design Zentrum Nordrhein Westfalen". For more than 65 years, these awards have recognized good design and creativity found in firms across the five continents, whose products it values for their innovation, formal quality, functionality, and timelessness.
