The story of Tres Tintas Barcelona begins with the three Bermejo brothers and their father – founder of traditional company Papeles Pintados Aribau.

The globally ambitious company Kettal was
founded in 1964. The idea of setting it up came to Manuel Alorda, who’s
married to a Dutch woman, when he noticed once on a trip to Germany
that there was hardly any outdoor furniture available on the Spanish
market.

BD Barcelona Design
was set up in Barcelona in 1972. Founded by a group of architects and
design experts, it is in many ways an atypical design company, in
particular because it boasts huge variety of its products.

The company’s story begins in 1980 with the creation of rubber ice
trays, followed by a wealth of other silicone-based kitchen products.
But it was in 2005 that the company saw a major turning point with the
incorporation of new capital and a new management team, headed by Xavier
Costa and four designers, the latter supervised by Luki Huber, who has
collaborated with Ferrán Adriá.

Based near Barcelona, the Teixidors Cooperative produces beautiful hand woven products, from blankets to scareves in wool, linen, cotton and silk.

Co-founded by Javier Nieto Santa, Gabriel Ordeig Cole and Nina Masó, Santa & Cole began life as a design company 25 years ago.
