Frame Collection by Vondom & Ramón Esteve

A new collection of lightweight, comfortable outdoor furniture.

We kick off 2013 by highlighting a new collaboration beween Valencia-based architect and designer Ramón Esteve and outdoor furniture company Vondom – the Frame collection. Previous collaborations between Esteve and Vondom – the Faz and Vela collections – have been very popular.

Frame is an understated outdoor furniture collection, thanks to its clean lines and simple geometry. The resulting pieces look very lightweight yet are supremely comfortable because their design allows them to lean back or forward to acommodate every position of the body. It’s a very versatile collection that allows the user to create all kinds of spaces: it’s perfect for a relaxing solarium area, thanks to its combination of deckchair and low table; as somewhere to hang out, with its armchairs and sofas, and as bar and eating areas, when its chairs, stools, benches and tables in different sizes are used.

When designing furniture, Esteve strives to create a harmony between form and function, to bring out the best qualities of every material, offer a comprehensive treatment of details and the creation of coherent forms. Esteve has worked with such well-known furniture companies as Gandia Blasco, Andreu World, Inclass and Joquer. For the latter, Esteve created the Tile bed.

Vondom is one of Spain’s leading companies specialising in outdoor furniture and homeware, and its pieces are cutting-edge, are made using innovative materials and are dreamt up by such internationally renowned designers as Javier Mariscal, Stefano Giovannoni, Ludovica + Roberto Palomba, Karim Rashid, A-cero and Teresa Sapey. The latter created the striking Adan and Eve plantholders for the firm.
